I have succesfully used vpn to connect to my employer. I have now installed microsoft proxy server 2.0 on windows NT4 server and connect through this to the internet. My client is win98se.
VPN is not getting through my firewall. Any suggestions?
Thanks

If your firewall is the MS Proxy server take a look at this: http://support.microsoft.com/support/kb/articles/Q176/9/24.ASP?LN=EN-US&SD=gn&FR=0&qry=vpn%20&rnk=2&src=DHCS_MSPSS_gn_SRCH&SPR=PRS, it should help.

Hi,
Open the port no. 448 on your firewall. This port allows secure connections through the firewall.send a reply mail if it works.

Chris,
I have an employee that is trying to do the same type of connection. Have you resolved the issue and what solution did you use?
Thanks

I have the same issue except the admin. of the network I am trying to connect to gave me the following port information:
1. UDP PORT 50
2. IPSEC/NAT PORT 10,000
3. ESP PROTOCOL 50
When setting up the filters as directed in MS KB article Q169890 (http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;Q169890), my results do not change.
I am attempting to connect to a CISCO 3015, which is on the Internet, from behind a MS Proxy 2.0 firewall.
Any suggestions?
Thanks,
Dave
