VPN tunnel issue

Hy guys we have asa and behind asa we have four 3750 stacks.....the asa makes LAN to LAN tunnel over Internet to a check point .....everything works fine but when there is no interesting traffic the tunnel goes down I need to config some sla do that it can ping remote site up address and the tunnel never goes down is it possible if yes how ....thanks guys as always

i would change the idle time out under your peer specific group policy on the ASA to a high value so that when there is no interesting traffic, the tunnel is kept alive.

your ASA has to originate the tunnel for this group policy to be effective.
