I have a Cisco 1811 router connected to a Land-Cellular 1xRTT/EVDO modem. The modem's cell connection provides a public IP address and has an ethernet port which comes default with a 192.168.x.x address.
I have not been able to find a way to put this modem into bridge mode like can be done with DSL or Cable modems (i.e., turn off routing between the ethernet port and the cellular port).
I'd like my 1811 to provide the DHCP information, etc. but if the Land-Cellular modem has to, that's fine. Has anyone encountered or used a setup like this to create a tunnel back to a corporate network?

The following guide on 1811 should give you some idea,

Did you ever get this working? I have an 1811 and a 3G Phoebus router. It also cannot be converted to a bridge. The VPN I am trying to build should work with the Interface on the 1811 being in a private network and the lan of the EVDO router it connects to being the gateway for the cisco. It should do isakmp forwarding or Nat-T but it will not build a tunnel either way. I can do this all day long with non500-isakmp on the 1811 and with a dsl or cable routerin front. I wonder if verizon is blocking the service?

You may want to just buy an EVDO router instead. Kyrocera makes a great product.
