WIC-1ADSL-DG

Guys, i have some strange problem and dont know how to deal with. Here is the situation.

When I put WIC-1ADSL-DG into slot 1 in Cisco 1751-V router running IOS: c1700-sv8y7-mz.123-11.T2

Router crashes outputing a message:

*Mar 1 00:00:13.971: %DSLSAR-3-FIRMWARE_VERSION_CHECK_FAILURE: Failed DSLSAR version check; expected 0x44; got 0xFF at location 0x68030080

*Mar 1 00:00:13.971: %DSLSAR-3-FIRMWARE_VERSION_CHECK_FAILURE: Failed DSLSAR version check; expected 0x44; got 0xFF at location 0x68030080

*Mar 1 00:00:13.971: %DSLSAR-3-FIRMWARE_VERSION_CHECK_FAILURE: Failed DSLSAR version check; expected 0x44; got 0xFF at location 0x68030080

*Mar 1 00:00:13.971: %DSLSAR-1-INITFAIL: DSLSAR(0/0), Init failed, CSR-2118914352=0x826196B0.

*Mar 1 00:00:20.671: %SYS-6-LOGGERSTART: Logger process started

*Mar 1 00:00:21.823: %LINEPROTO-5-UPDOWN: Line protocol on Interface FastEthernet0/0, changed state to up

*Mar 1 00:00:23.035: %SYS-5-CONFIG_I: Configured from memory by console

*** System received a SegV exception ***

signal= 0xb, code= 0x1200, context= 0x82496398

PC = 0x80c69fcc, Vector = 0x1200, SP = 0x82619898

As, I understand it means that router cannot get some firmware from WIC-1ADSL-DG to process later with atm cell segmentation and reassembly (SAR).

But if i put boot router 1751-V with WIC-1ADSL-DG in slot 1 it boots the OK led an WIC-1ADSL-DG is green but ...

Debug atm events command shows:

*Mar 1 00:45:01.583: DSL: SM: [DMTDSL_DLOAD_1 -> DMTDSL_INIT]

*Mar 1 00:45:39.087: DSL: Unexpected response 0x0 to ASW_init_13_9_31.bin

Again it seems that router cannot download ASW_init_13_9_31.bin from wic-1adsl-dg. But now it doesn't crashes as it was hapenning when wic-1adsl-dg was in slot0.

More strange thing is when, I get the router and first time configure it (wic-1adsl-dg was in slot 0) everything was working except NAT, all attempts to overload over Dialer 1 interface where crashing the router. But after 24 hours of uptime suddenly it crashed totally, of course wic-1adsl-dg was in slot0.

Guys what you think, this is the problem of IOS (unfortunately i dont have any LD release for this router), wic-1adsl-dg, or router it self ?

This is mostly the IOS version problem. Update the IOS to latest verstion. If the problem persists, this means that your Hardware has a problem.
