Win 7 Microsoft Updates killing Cisco Ipsec client V5.

Has anyone see where Msft updates to Win7 (32bit) will cause the 32bit version 5.x client to stop routing traffic thru the client.  We connect to an old Vpn 3005 concentrator with the most recent Cisco Ipsec cleint version 5.0.07.0440-k9.

When updates are applied to the  base Windows 7  image (85...stop laughing), the client won't tunnel anything down the vpn.  We do not do split tunnel. Vpn client works before the patches.

Looking for that "smoking gun" patch that gets applied to Win 7, that causes this to happen.  We might have a couple dozen out in the field that could get cut-off with the same problem.

We are moving to anyconnect, but need to try and find fix this first.

Google searches didn't turn up anything helpful.

Thanks

Ok, it appears to be a possible binding issue with the adapter caused by the updates:

==Below process fixes the issue for us=====

1. Go to start

2. Type "view network connections" in search and click on that selection

3. Press "ALT" to get to the advanced Menu.

Then > Advanced> Advanced connections

4. Click on Adapters and Bindings Tab

Move the "Local Area Connection" that corresponds to VPN Adapter to

the Top of the List.

5) Also check the "allow local Lan connection" in the VPN client.
