I've been attempting to gain some more granular control over the badnwidth usage at my organization. I've looked into McAfee's Web Gateway which has been successful in most attempts but the I've found that torrent applications and some web streaming sites have circumvented that software. I currently have a 5520 appliance deployed from before my time which is to be replaced (EOS issues) and its filtering capabilities seem limited, so I'm looking at the 5500-X series as a replacement there as well.
I was wondering if I would be able to get the best of both (a web proxy appliance with deep application scanning AND a capable upgrade to the 5520) in a single appliance. An appiance that would fall into the 5500-X series list. Could someone point me in the right direction, please?
