Hello,
We have Cisco WSA deployed as transparent proxy. There users who accesses Bloomberg which uses non-http UDP and TCP ports. The customer wants to send this traffic through WSA. Does the WSA handle this type of traffic?.
Thanks
Shabeeb

WSA is a web Proxy and supports HTTP/HTTPS and FTP for proxying.
If it uses any of above applications (HTTP/HTTPS/FTP) but deferent port number ( other than 80/443/21) WSA can handle them.
Long story short the Application layer is important in WSA.

Hello Shabeeb,
Bloomberg support SOCKS v5, so it should work with WSA.
To configure it in the Bloomberg Connection Wizard go to Settings > Connect through a SOCKS Version 5 Proxy server.
Let us know how it worked

Hello,
I tried to configure SOCKS proxy in Bloomberg and configured SOCKS policy in WSA. Eventhough I allowed the bllombeg ports and destinations in SOCKS policy it is not hitting the policy. I am getting the below error.
How can I allow bloomberg.net:8292?. In custom URL it is not accepting website:port syntax. Kindly advise.

Hello Shabeeb, check access log for the block reason. I wouldn't use web tracknig view for troubleshooting, it has some limitations, use logs directly instead.
