What would be the upgrade path if my asyncos is 8.0.8-113 -> 9.0.0-485?

The answer to your question is in the release notes I wrote down in my previous post. So you can see in Upgrade Paths section you can upgrade directly to the latest version.
However, you must read carefully Pre-Upgrade Requirements section cause you've got to update RAID controller firmware before upgrading AsyncOS.
In summary, read all release notes before doing anything to make sure the upgrade process will go well.

Hi
8.5.1-104 is a hot patch release and normally for hot patch there would not be an upgrade path.
To upgrade from that version, you will need to do 'revert' (CLI -> revert) to your previous GD release then upgrade from there.
However revert procedure will destroy all your database and logs so be mindful about that.
The latest GD (General Deployment) at the moment is 8.5.3-069
