Websites IP

Dears,

when running a web tracking on the WSA, I can see some urls listed as IP,

how can i fix the problem?

Please note that i am using 8.8.8.8 as dns

Hi Behcara,

This sounds like the URLs showing up with IP address instead of the actual name of the URL might be HTTPS / 443. This would mean that you are not decypting HTTPS traffic. You would need to enable HTTPS proxy. I would recommend opening a support case to determine which methods are availible. There are many details which support may provide details on that you will need when making a decision when enabeling that service.

Pertanyaan sama yang ingin saya tanyakan karena kasus yang saya alami hampir sama di ip menuju website skipper saya.

website yang dituju adalah https://www.skipperdeveloper.com (correct me if i am wrong).

untuk https website, bila di accesslogs tampil sebagai ip address (bukan hostname) biasanya proxy deploymentnya transparent mode menggunakan WCCP redirection karena transparent mode, dns resolusi nya oleh client dari pada WSA oleh karena itu traffic yang tiba di WSA hanya ip address dan WSA harus memeriksa certificatenya untuk mendapatkan hostname nya. Oleh karena itu https traffic untuk website ini harus di decrypt untuk WSA mendapatkan hostname nya.

I am experiencing the same issue on my PDI project. I am not using 8.8.8.8 as DNS though.
