Hello @ADJ Network Members

as we have in the User guide page 505: User Guide for AsyncOS 14.5 for Cisco Secure Web Appliance - GD (General Deployment)

When the licenses are overused or expired, they will go into out of compliance (OOC) mode and 30-days grace period is provided to each license. You will get notifications on regular intervals (30th, 15th, 5th, and last day) prior to the expiry and also upon the expiry of the OOC grace period. After the expiry of the OOC grace period, you cannot use the licenses and the features will be unavailable. To access the features again, you must update the licenses on the CSSM portal and renew the authorization.

  • Eval Expired: 90-Day Evaluation SL has expired and the appliance has transitioned to the additional 30-day grace period
  • In Compliance: The appliance has been registered with a token and currently the feature consumes a valid license
  • Out of Compliance (Grace Period) can be observed in 2 scenarios:
    • One-click request for a temporary 30-day feature license is in use
    • A license has expired on the appliance and the 30-day grace period has initiated
  • Out of Compliance (Expired): License fully expired and the associated service ceases to function

Check Security Services/Anti-Malware and Reputation to see if McAfee is enabled.
Then click in the access policy, click into the settings under "Anti-Malware and Reputation" to see what's turned on for that policy.

That is True @ADJ Network Members

but lets say if you use 15 days of your Evaluation this year, for next year you will have 15 more days left.

It stops doing those things...
So it won't submit SHAs to amp or Threat grid, it won't scan with Sophos, McAfee, or Webroot, and I think the category controls stop working.
To see if these are being used, check Web Security Manager/Access Policies. This is where you configure which web requests get scanned by which piece.

Hi thank you Ken Stieers,
Is there easy way find out the features which related to the license will be expired being used or not? like key word mcafee not exists in page Web Security Manager/Access Policies, the feature not being used, otherwise need much time to reference the manual.

Check Security Services/Anti-Malware and Reputation to see if McAfee is enabled.
Then click in the access policy, click into the settings under "Anti-Malware and Reputation" to see what's turned on for that policy.

Hi Amojarry,
thanks a lot your reply, is it means the license update payment could be maximum one month delay, or the feature still can be used one more month even it has been expired?
Regards.
