Why would 3 of the same identical sites have different classifications?

Under classification for our website, https://www.alltheinternet.com, it says Advertisments but it's clearly a Search Engine/Portal. Who chooses what it is listed under? If it's automatic why would 2 idential sites, be listed correctly and not this site? It used to say Search Engine/Portal, but it looks like someone at Cisco/Talos changed it to Advertisements. Why would that happen and how?

Hello,

To answer your query. Talos has sensors all around and each sensor gathers information from the url's like content, images, header and several other parameters. Based on these factors the url category is decided. There could have been a change in one of the parameters which Talos sensor has detected which led to the change in the category. If you believe that the category is incorrect, you can submit a ticket to Talos inteliigence and have this corrected. The Url to submit a ticket is : https://talosintelligence.com/

Thanks

Hi Ash,

Thanks for getting back to me. I tried submitting a ticket already for my site All the Internet @ https://www.alltheinternet.com and Talos didn't change it and then Talos closed the ticket. The category is obviously incorrect as it's a search engine/portal and not an advertisements site. However you never addressed anything I posted about. For instance, Talos playing God and changing my website category could cause me extreme financial loss. Who changed it to Advertisements? If your system to automatically categorize is broken, why doesn't Talos fix it? There are many people complaining in these forums that their website are mis-categorized. All the other url classification sites/products have us correctly listed as search engine/portal.
