This event continues the conversation of our recent Community Ask Me Anything event "How to Use Webex Meetings".

This event is a great chance to discuss best practices, tips, and tricks for Cisco Webex. Due to circumstances that have resulted from the COVID-19 pandemic, a historic number of people have rapidly transitioned to remote work. Webex meetings have never been more vital for staying connected across the globe. Join this session to discuss the best practices, tips, and tricks to work effectively with a superior experience via Cisco Webex.

This forum event works well as an introduction for those who are not familiar with the tool and have recently started to use it. Issues and quality issues related to Webex solutions are not encouraged. If you have a Webex issue, please review it with the Cisco Technical Assistance Center or CSM teams.

Belem Garrido is a Consulting Delivery Engineer with the Professional Services team in Mexico. I am the president of a local Toastmasters club.  We are planning to hold monthly virtual meetings using WebEx Meetings.  I have checked through your help documentation and cannot find a way to invite a group of people to a meeting without individually typing in their email addresses.  I do know that once the email addresses of the attendees are entered into the "scheduling" area I can create a template for future use, but I would like to know how to get the email addresses entered in the first place.  We are using the free version of WebEx Meetings if that has something to do with it.

I know I'm not the expert here, but just a thought, could you schedule the webex for just yourself, then when you receive the meeting number and password, you then use whatever mailing list software you use for the club to then distribute the meeting number and password? Or maybe that's the problem too, that you don't have a way to mass mall your members?

Hello Anthony,
There are couple of user friendly ways to schedule Webex meetings, as you rightly pointed out, the PMR ( Personal meeting room) is always on and can be distributed easily by email client, even the scheduled meetings can be scheduled from within the email client itself e.g. MS Outlook / 0365 etc so you don't have to even leave your email client's window to schedule the webex meetings.

You are right, for the webpage's scheduling option once the email addresses needs to be typed in. however there are other options,
1) You can use your PMR ( Personal Meeting Room), this is "always on" Personal room and is easy for people to join, as a host you have complete security control to allow or dis-allow people to enter.
2) Using the preferred email client to schedule the meeting like a Google or Microsoft client.

Thanks to everyone for the great suggestions.  I did install the Chrome extension and will use it in the future.  I also think, based on what Anthony said, that I can set up a meeting directly from the personal room without inviting anyone, make sure the option to send meeting info to myself is on, and when I get that notification I can then copy it, open a new email, paste the meeting info, and then use an existing distribution list.  Am I correct?

You are correct. You can create a customized invitation to your Personal Meeting Room or to a scheduled meeting, set up your preferences and distribute the meeting information from your e-mail client.

Hi,

Will there be a hard Mute option in Webex Meetings with the future release like in Webex Events, where the unmute option will be disabled? Many customers are preferring that.

Also, are there any issues in latest Iphones/IPADs with dual cameras joining Webex meetings? some users complain that both cameras are turned ON when joining a Webex meeting.
