Creating Department Voicemail box in Webex Calling

I'm trying to create a virtual user to represent a department, say sales.

When I call the main number and hit 1 for sales...I want it to play a greeting and then take a voicemail.

In on-prem world, I would forward to a CUC VM Box or Call Handler but unsure how to create a virtual user w/ VM in Webex Calling.   I've created a user essentially called sales, but unable to send a call to that user's VM.

Currently, WxC does not support non-personal voicemail boxes. IIRC, such department voicemail boxes are on the roadmap.

So you'd need to create a real user, use a WxC license for it and maybe configure it to sent VMs via mail to a shared mailbox or so.

 

You may try using the FAC *55 in order to sent call directly to a user's mailbox (ie *551234 do directly call VM of extension 1234)
