Set Call FWD for Shared or Virtual line thru Webex App or User Portal

We have a use case where calls need to be periodically forwarded for a number that needs to be shared between multiple users/devices. There will be no consistency in what number it's forwarded to or what date/time it is forwarded. We are looking for a way to forward these numbers remotely, where you don't have to be in front of the phones that are assigned the number to do so. This could be the user portal or the Webex app. There doesn't currently seem to be a way to do this through Webex Calling Multi-Tenant. Hoping to get some workaround ideas. Thanks for your help.

Hello @wabrown

There is a roadmap item to allow this to be done natively, but right now there is a workaround using the Feature Access Codes. From the Webex App, you can select that line to dial and activate forwarding via feature access code. I.e dial *723215551234 to set that line to call forward to 3215551234. You can then do the same thing to deactivate by calling *73.

Here is the Feature Access Codes reference.

Thank you, Michael. Do you know if there is a bug or SR # documented for this feature request.

Hello @wabrown

Not that I am aware of. There is a feature request in the AHA portal here. The latest verbal update I've heard was they are targeting CY2026 Q1 but it's not a firm commitment at this point so it could slip to later.
