devices dropped from call because of ROAP negotiation failure

Hi,

We recently had an issue during a WebEx meeting where 3 out of the 4 Cisco video endpoints were dropped from the call 45 minutes after joining the call, the host never lost connection.  Each device was able to dial back into the WebEx meeting and had no further issues for the remainder of the call.

The report from control hub showed the users hung up but we know they did not.  Two  of the devices that dropped from the call is registered in UCM and linked via WebEx Edge and the 3rd is an older C40 devices. All the devices were on our internal network and one of the devices was on the same VLAN as the host.

We reported the issue to Cisco to investigate why the endpoints were dropped and the response was as follows.

The endpoints disconnected on the cloud side due to ROAP (RTCWeb Offer/Answer Protocol) negotiation failure.  The engineering team isolated the issue to a reverse proxy flapping and it was redirected to restore services.

I am trying to find any information on how the endpoints would use ROAP (RTCWeb Offer/Answer Protocol) to join a WebEx call and how or why the negotiation would fail if the host did not drop for the duration of the call.
