Webex Activation Code - Verify Your Internet Connection

I'm having a issue with getting my activation code to work with my desk phone. When I click continue after entering my code, I get this message (Verify Your Internet Connection). Currently my team is trying to get webex calling working and want to use desk phones as well as the soft-phone in webex. Currently my coworker's phone is working and we swapped accounts/codes as mine was not working and mine in turn worked for him and his still showed the same error. We have the exact same ISP with exact same firewall/network settings on the modem. The error the phone is throwing out is

Address resolution failure: gds.huron-dev.com

My phone is a cisco CP-8811-K9 V11 and my coworkers is V04 of the same phone. We are both unable to ping the above domain from either corporate or home networks.

Any suggestions are appreciated. I am not a VOIP guy at all, so my knowledge is extremely limited.

Thank you

I found the solution for my issue!

I had to upgrade the code on the phone from Enterprise version to Wedex version on the phone itself.

Code-based activation

  1. Press the Applications button

and select Admin Settings -> Network/Ethernet Setup -> IPv4 Setup
  2. Set Alternate TFTP to On/Yes and configure TFTP Server 1 to 3.14.211.49
  3. Select Apply
  4. Select Erase when prompted that a Trust List is installed on the phone.
