It appears that the course lecture recordings are available to students immediately after they are processed by the system. Is there a way to prevent students from having access until the professor approves the recording? The concern is something may have happened during the class meeting that should be edited out of the recording prior to it being available (such as an inappropriate comment or "zoom bombing"). I really want to use the integrated system since (the attendance recording is great) BUT I am not comfortable with students having automatic access without professors having a chance to review and possibly edit the video content.

There is an IDEAS section in the Collaboration Customer Connection Program (Collaboration CCP - not Soviet).

You should join this community if you have not yet.
This is the link to the IDEA section, which might only be visible if you are a CCP member.

I think this would be a great feature request.
I have many faculty members asking for this same feature...
