Is anyone else in the education space finding the closed captioning feature lacking for virtual instructor-led math classes? It doesn't capture mathematical equations accurately and I'm wondering if Cisco has plans to perfect this? I've seen other platforms capture formulas accurately. Suggestions welcome! Thanks!
The answer to this question may be complex. The terms and phrasings used are like a language that need to be linked to cc phrasing. It may take a joint experts group of mathematics specialists, captioning engineers and general accessibility specialists to establish an agreed style of speaking and resulting close captioning. If that can be established, a speaking style guide is needed for faculty so that there would be the best chance of the cc results being predictable and consistent.
