Editing a recorded event... can you edit a recorded event? I'd like the recording to start and end at different points in the timeline so there isn't a bunch of unnecessary talk and blank space at the beginning.

Hello,

You can trim the playback range for replays from the Webex site. While this wont actually cut and remove the actual content, anyone who opens the Webex recording link will only see the trimmed version.

If you have software that will let you edit video files you can edit the recording.

Hi @struax,

Thanks for posting your question in the Webex Community!

If you have a PC you should be able to use the Webex Recording Editor as mentioned in this article. https://help.webex.com/en-us/nt5idr/Edit-a-Recording-Using-the-Cisco-Webex-Recording-Editor#task_53C331E6C4E2A43A0D7F1E41A0A94FB3

NOTE: You must have an enterprise account to use the Webex Recording Editor.

I hope this helps! Let us know if you have any more questions!

Hi,
Thanks for the info regarding editing the WebEx recording.
So I guess this can only be done on a PC? I can edit the MP4 in Final Cut or Premiere without any issues but I’m trying to get a recording that has both the slides with audio as well as the video of the speaker. The MP4 only has the slides and audio so I was hoping there would be a way to edit the beginning and end of the recording to get rid of the unneeded time but still keep it all within the WebEx system so my link for the attendees goes there and they get the full experience. Do you know if there is a way to get an MP4 of the person that is speaking (the presenter) or an actual recording that shows them in the corner or something?

Thanks,
Sam T.
