Mac Webex Notification reducing volume

I have a Mac running Monterey 12.5.1 and Webex client Version 42.8.0.23281

I turn up my volume to 100%.

I get notification that I received a message in chat. Volume goes down 2 bars. As I receive more notifications the bars keep dropping until my mac is eventually muted. (The sound icon pops up on my screen to show reduced sound or muted)

This does not happen with Outlook notifications.

I spend all day turning my sound back up on my mac.

I cannot find anything in the settings that could cause this.

After troubleshooting this, I have observed that it only happens when I have a Plantronics headset with USB dongle installed. I have not figured out why it does this with the dongle installed as I don't have any software/drivers installed for the headset.

Thought I would post this and hope it helps someone else.
