I partially agree: since there is a name beside the image.
on the other hand:
the icon to indicate the audio-type is useless but still there (since the early days of webex..)
I agree that meeting-relevant information should be shown by default (like name, host-status, sharing, feedback, raised hand, mute) but almost useless information like "type of audio connection" should be shown only on "mouse over" etc.
