Presentation Quality Issues on Large Meetings or Events

We've had this issue for years and Cisco support has not been able to help so hoping someone else may have seen this and resolved it.  When we have large WebEx meetings, usually around 100 or more participants, we get odd color shifting of the powerpoint slides and pictures and text blur and focus over and over again.  The odd thing is a video played from the presentation actually looks better than static text. Initially it only seemed like this was noticeable on laptops running Webex, not room endpoints (room kits, room 70s, etc) but recently people have been noticing it on room devices in offices other than the hosting office as well.  We also previously used events in 2 different subscriptions and also had the same issue.  The clients on laptops seeing the issue can both be on network or on their home Internet, doesn't seem to matter.

Has anyone else experienced anything like this?  It's obviously hard to get hundreds of people on a call to test anything so we keep going from townhall to townhall experiencing the same issues.  Thanks in advance for any advice!

One other thing to note is this is with HDMI plugged in, not on wireless presenting.  With wireless presenting the quality is better, but the lag is unbearable trying to switch between slides.

Interesting... Have you tried to check the presenter's computer for performance issues when the problem happens like maxing out the computer's CPU, Memory, GPU, ect..  There could be an issue due to the number of inbound streams they are trying to process on large calls.  Also, are you uploading the slide deck to Webex or just screen sharing?

We've used many different laptops and haven't seen any bottlenecks with the hardware.  All the streams aren't connecting to the laptop are they?  I'm not really following how a bigger call would cause performance issues on a laptop any different than a smaller call.  We are just screen sharing.  I seem to remember some feature didn't work with uploading, but it was many years ago that we tried so can't remember what it was and may have been fixed by now.  It's worth giving it a shot.

Where is the presenter located?  I've noticed this when the presenter is on a poor quality network.  This is often caused on large meetings due to the number of people on the same network all trying to access the cloud for the video feed.  If the presenter is then on the same network they will also have bandwidth issues, which remote participants will see.  One of the work arounds for this is to use a Video Mesh.  This is a download from Control Hub which you host on a server at the location where you have a lot of users.  Cisco Webex Edge Video Mesh - Cisco

They are on gigabit network with video mesh in place at the location.  There aren't any bandwidth issues.
