Webex meeting participants forced to download app

I have been hosting Webex meetings successfully with some participants able to join via web browser only (as they cannot download the application). However, at the last two scheduled meetings these participants were not given the option to connect via browser only ( the web-pages provided do not contain the link to click on). Myself and a colleague also tried to join the meeting via separate PCs and we also had the same problem i.e. we were being forced to download the application.

Has there been a functionality change with Webex, or is there a particular way to schedule/configure the meeting, or is  there a specific way to send out the meeting URL that may have caused this problem?

What advice could be provided to ensure that this does not happen for my next meeting?

@CosminCalin , this depends on how your Webex environment has been configured. On my Webex site I have the option to select the Meeting Type when scheduling a meeting:

Do you have this option?

I finally finded something on internet on 1 of the cummunity posts

You need to go on https://admin.webex.com/users On the Cisco Webex Control Hub
Go to Users > Your_Username, and a “Window” shows up from the left side
There you go on Meeting > your_url > Enable Both of Security methods

Now i can acces via Webex Web App changing the parameters for the new meets

@CosminCalin , thanks for posting this extra information.
Now I understand why you can't join this meeting with the Webex web app: this is an "end-to-end encrypted meeting" and you cannot join this type of meeting with the web app.
This is one of the known limitations of the web app, as described in the following article: https://help.webex.com/en-us/n0rqd8g/Webex-Meetings-Web-App-Known-Issues-and-Limitations

Is here options to disable "end-to-end encrypted meeting”?
I don’t want this feature

@Peter_H , @CosminCalin , when joining a Webex meeting, you don't have the option to select "Use web app"? (as shown screenshot below)

@Goswin Weemaes, There's no option, i tried on my Mac with Safari, Edge Chromium, and Chrome, and on m my PC on Edge Chromium, but none of them have any web version, strangely what i find its a "testing Webex Meet" that seems to work on web (https://www.webex.com/test-meeting.html)

I'm kind of desperate because nobody on my organisation can use Web app, everyone is forced to download the app:

If you find your site meetings are more often than not with external non webex users, you have the option to set the default Join option to Web. That way anyone joining will attempt to join via the web client, and anyone ith the desktop app already installed can use that option instead.

Where, I can't find any option, I already searched everywere

https://username.webex.com/webappng/sites/username

https://admin.webex.com/overview

https://apphub.webex.com/my-integrations

and other configuration pages for my account, nothing works, every forces me to open on App, I don't want more apps on my Mac

I someone find a fix, I will tank you
