Looking for experience with WebEx Training Center with Labs

Here at University of Michigan, Michigan Medicine are piloting WebEx Training Center with labs. We are connecting to remote computers and would love to hear about your experiences with the hands on labs.  Specifically:

  • Have you had any issues with “disappearing computers” from labs?  
  • Overall, how has your experience been with hands on labs? 
  • Would you be willing to have a call?

We are just getting started and have encountered multiple issues with our account set up that have hindered our moving forward.  Initially any computer we installed the WebEx Access Anywhere software on would not show as "available" in the lab admin page.  This was caused by a configuration error in our WebEx account.  

 

We are now trying to set up multiple applications for users to select from when logging onto a computer but the system is not giving the user the ability to choose an app.  Depending on which apps are enabled, they may only have access to 1 app or none.  Working with TAC on this issue now. 

 

Highly recommend complete testing of the labs before providing it to instructors for use. 

 

I would also be interested in talking with others about how others are using the labs and especially with managing them for instructors.
