We have a building near a power sub-station, so getting cable run is a problem. We do have an existing 1252 LWAP close by, but since the building in question is metal, the signal is not strong enough to use. I would like to put up an autonomous 1252 as a repeater and/or workgroup bridge. Is it possible to use one radio with an outdoor antenna to bridge to the existing AP and then have the other radio indoors act as an AP to provide wireless coverage in the building and also use the ethernet interface to hook up a switch for wired access?

I am pretty sure you can use the a radio to bridge the link with and use the b/g radio for local support (or vice versa) but I am not sure if the ethernet port will still work. If that does not work you should be able to configure the 1252 as a workgroup bridge configure one radio as the bridge link then plug the ethernet port in to a switch and get another AP for local support and plug it into the switch.

Only one radio can be set as repeater or bridge.
