2802 Dual Band Radios

We have some Cisco 2802 wireless access points. They have the dual band radios that can automatically set themselves. However, all of our Cisco 2802 wireless access points are using the 2.4 GHZ band. Is there a specific minimum code to use to get this functionality? Is there an additional setting? I even tried to manually set one and the band is grayed out. Any help is greatly appreciated.

If you use a WLC, you have to enable the feature Flexible Radio Assignment FRA. This feature then monitors the overlap and can automatically change the 2.4 GHz radio to a micro 5 GHz cell.
This requires also some other options to be configured/enabled.
