3702i not joining 5520 due to regulatory domain

Hello,

I have a 3702i that is unable to join a 5520. The WLC is running 8.1.131.0

The access point receives a valid IP address and starts a CAPWAP session with the controller, but eventually times out after several retries. From the AP, I see this in the logs:

Downloading this version is not permitted when AP is configured to -B domain Image download aborted

From the compatibility matrix, I understand that starting with 8.0.132.0 the -B regulatory domain was introduced. So in theory the current code in my controller should support the AP?

Product/Model Number                 : AIR-CAP3702I-B-K9

From the Controller GUI:

Configured Country Code(s)
US

Regulatory Domain
802.11a/n/ac: (Indoor: -AB, Outdoor: -AB)
802.11b/g/n: (Indoor: -A, Outdoor: -AB)

Thanks for any help!

Yeah but 8.1 code is deferred so you probably hitting a bug in which you are better off upgrading to v8.2.

Thanks Scott, I asked TAC to confirm if this is the issue. I have exhausted all other options so it does look like the current code is causing the problem.

I was also able to associate the AP to a 5508 running 8.0.132.0
