5500 Wilan controllers

I suspect that some users are consuming most of the bandwidth on some of my AP(s) and causing diminished throughput for my other users.  What is the best way to find these users and track their activity?  Is there a way to do this from the Wi-LAN controller?

On the WLC, while in Advanced mode, click on Home on the top right.
Then Network Summary -> Clients. Here you can scroll to the right and sort by Usage. Then you see which client has used the most data of all currently associated clients. There are no historical data on the WLC though. For that you need the Prime Infrastructure product.

Sadly not possible (or at least I never found a way).

We use Prime to take stastics, not tried 5500 Controller directly.

Other note you can limit the bandwidth per user basis to fix the issue.

How to Ask The Cisco Community for Help

I read in the controller guide that the vpn traffic is not limited by the traffic shaping?

Hi mate,

You can use the WLCCA as well if you don't have Prime.

It will give you lots of good information there.

Here is the link to download it.

Thanks.

Cheers,

I will take a look at this.

Thanks,

That was helpful. Thank you.

Do you know if there is a way to reset these counters without restarting the controller?
