If you don't want "N" then disable WMM.

If you want 802.11g only, disable data rates 1 Mbps to 11 Mbps.

thanks very much .

is this by either going to Network --> Network interface --> radio 802.11n 2g.hz and then disable world mode

or type no world mode under interface configuration mode?

I have done both but still insidder thinks my AP is advertising g,n so what am I missing

is it also possible to change the channel width to 20mhz?

By default, all radios are on 20 Mhz channel width.

There is NO OPTION to change the channel width of 802.11b radio to 40 Mhz.

Agree with Leo.

First : "802.11n" requires WPA2/AES or OPEN authentication.  So if you do not use these then it will not work.

Second: Under WLAN SSID > QoS feature then disable WMM.  Usually WMM is required for 802.11n support.

These are the main 2 feature required to use 802.11n rates.

If you disable one of them then you will not get 802.11n rate.

Hope it helps.

Disable WMM if you don''t want N in there.

I agree with the previous posts, but if you only want to turn it off on a single AP within your network then you will need to do the following:

  • Create an AP group and move the AP into the new group
  • Map your SSIDs to the proper interfaces for the group
  • Create an RF Profile with all of the MCS Settings un-checked
  • Apply the RF Profile to the new AP group

I hope this helps.
