Hi

Anyone have luck with configuring 1540 AP in Bridge mode on 9800 Controller?

Have tried with just MAC authorization but can't join 1540 AP's when putting them in Bridge mode.

Running a eng. build a'la 16.12.4.

Thanks

Kasper

Yes.... one of the guides i have tried.... But will give it a second shot... What i wonder is if it still is the BVI MAC address to use as in AOS (for outdoor AP's) or perhaps the Ethernet MAC as in indoor AP's in AOS..... (ios-xe on 1540 ap and sh int network..... does'nt show any BVI MAC)

Thanks

Kasper

You would be able to find the Mac from CDP/LLDP and or the label on the AP. It doesn’t hurt to add any you find and then when the ap joins, you can remove the MAC address that was not used.

Follow the guide once again...... and remember to assign to correct Site Tag  "Mesh_AP_Tag" before bridge Mode... And Vola, 1540 AP now in bridge mode...

BTW: It's the "Ethernet MAC" that has to be added.

Thanks Scott for replying this post  :-)

Kasper
