I have a 881W router. I upgraded the router IOS to c880data-universalk9-mz.153-2.T.bin
and then I upgraded the wireless ap to ap801-k9w7-tar.152-2.JB.tar. I may have changed a few other settings also.
Before the upgrade, I could access the wireless ap gui with all of the "normal" access point settings. After the upgrade, I receive the below web page and not sure what happened to the web page with all of the access point settings Anyone know where I took a wrong turn?

The v15 is a bit different and that has been an issue in the past. I guess the question is do you really need to go with v15? You really don't when your talking about a standalone access point. Downgrade the AP to v12 and upgrade it again or else just stick with v12.
Thanks,
Scott

On your AP, can you post the output to the command "dir"?
How did you upgrade the IOS of the AP? Did you copy the BIN file or did you use the TAR file?

I ended up using the tftp method in the web browser and I uploaded the ap801-k9w7-tar.152-2.JB.tar so I guess that is the tar file. The first time I tried to upgrade it, I just tried to upload the file with the browser, but that did not work for me.
here is the output of dir -

Can you try a different browser?

I just tried Firefox and received the same result. I also tried deleting the temp internet files and that did not do anything either.

Can you post the output to this command:
dir flash:/ap801-k9w7-mx.152-2.JB/html/

Here it is -

Right. Just as I suspected.
The HTML files from the TAR file was not extracted properly.
If you can telnet into the AP, use this command instead: archive download-sw tftp://

I did the upgrade and still the same result. Here is the result for the dir command -
ca_houston_ap#dir flash:/ap801-k9w7-mx.152-2.JB/html/
Directory of flash:/ap801-k9w7-mx.152-2.JB/html/

There should definitely be more there. I am attaching the upgrade process and you can see that it extracted the files and put it in the directory. I am attaching the config as well.
Do I need to save and reload. I must not be finishing it correctly.
Thanks for all of your help.

After I looked at the upgrade play by play again, I can see that it did extract a lot of files, but it did not put them in the directory. Do I need to insert a username and password in the upgrade command?

I'm out of ideas.
The only thing I can suggest, by a loooong shot, is to use a different machine. In that other machine, use different browser: IE or Chrome or Firefox.

Thanks Leo and Scott. You have been awesome help. I need to go to work and take care of some other issues, but I will put the version 12 back on here and go with that. I will post back on the outcome.

The working answer for my 881w was to upload the latest software for version 12 and the web interface came back and is working fine, but I want to point out that I needed to also do the troubleshooting as suggested by Leo to arrive at that point. Thanks everyone.
