AIR-ANT2566D4M-R Back to Back Cabling Configuration

Hi,

I was looking at page 67 and 68 of https://www.ciscolive.com/c/dam/r/ciscolive/latam/docs/2016/pdf/BRKEWN-3010.pdf

For an AP 3802e with 2 x AIR-ANT2566D4M-R, my understanding is that one AIR-ANT2566D4M-R is connected to the AP 3802e through the DART Connector using an AIR-CAB002-DART-R= cable.

I am not sure how the other AIR-ANT2566D4M-R is connected to the system. Is it connected to the Four RTNC antenna connectors on the top of the access point using four AIR-CAB005LL-R-N/= cables, replacing the four exteranl dipole antennas,

or the AIR-ANT2566D4M-R is connected directly to the first AIR-ANT2566D4M-R, and the primary 5Ghz radio keeps  using its 4 external dipole antennas?

Thank you

Patrick

Hi Grendizer:

Thank you for the reply. I understand the general idea in the link you posted. Not a RF engineer, I still can not figure out how the 2nd AIR-ANT2566D4M-R is connected (in terms of cabling) to this back to back setup scenario.

Will the top 4 dipole antennas be removed, and replaced with this 2nd AIR-ANT2566D4M-R antenna? Or?

Thank you

Patrick
