AIR-LAP1042N-T-K9 working without controller

We will need to implement a small temporary wirelles solution where I will not have enough time to get a controller. We already have spare AIR-LAP-1042N-T-K9 that may be used (not configured in H-REAP as we use to do). If we configure these access point in local mode do they work without a controller ?

I think the only solution would be converting your lightweight ap to standalone mode for this temporary period of time.

You need to convert the WAP to run autonomous IOS.  If you have a valid Service Contract you should have access to the software.

If not, talk to the authorized Cisco reseller and find out if they can give you the 15.X autonomous IOS (don't get the 12.X).
