Aironet 1041 Standalone 5Ghz Band

Hi,

I'm doing a basic install of X8 1041's.

All devices are to be connecting on the 5Ghz band.

The spec of the 1041 states its supports 802.11 a/b/g/n on 2.4Ghz + 5Ghz band.

When configuring the 1041 I only see options relating to the 2.4Ghz band, I see nothing for 5Ghz.

Am I missing something really simple here, how do enable the 5Ghz band?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Check the model you got to see if maybe it a 2.4ghz only. You can also do a show ver to check.

That's incorrect.  1041 only has one radio.  And it's the 802.11b only.  1042 is the model with both 802.11a and 802.11b radio.

D@mn! Got the part numbers wrong.

Stupid mistake I made.

Anyway, many thanks Scott.

And I suppose just to be clear for anyone else its is NOT just 802.11b as above.

The 1041's are 802.11g/n, which I have found excellent on a 802.11n 2.4Ghz on previous installs.

The 1042's are 802.11a/g/n and cost considerably more for the priviledge.
