Aironet AP1852 infinite Discovery Request Loop After SW Upgrade (8.6.101 to 8.10.130)

Hey all

We recently purchased a Aironet AP1852I-E-K9 unit to use as a stand-alone WAP extension for an existing wired network. All it had to do was add wireless tablets to our existing wired network. There are no other wireless devices, no wireless controllers. The system worked fine, except that it kept on booting the user out of the wireless controller management interface (10.0.0.10) after a few seconds, and no settings could be changed.

We performed a TFTP SWupdate on the device (from 8.6.101 to 8.10.130), after which the management info shows that no APs are suddenly visible. Upon viewing the config dump for the old SW version compared to the new version, the following line is missing:

config flexconnect group default-flexgroup ap add 68:ca:e4:40:46:68

Upon manually trying to add the command via CLI, the "ap add" is no longer available. Also, no success on creating any new flexgroups. The MAC address shown above is assigned 192.168.20.X by the DHCP server.

Logging in to the APCISCOSHELL, the AP repeatedly sends Discovery request sent to Flex.. (10.0.0.1). After a certain time elapsed the feedback shows that the DHCP has been "CAPWAPd" and a new address on the 192.168.20.x subnet is assigned.

The LEDs keep showing the Discovery/Join process is active. Can anyone please assist in helping to get the AP1852 to see its own internal access point/controller?

Kind regards
