All SSID Disappear for 20 seconds on Cisco 5500 Series WLC

Hi all,

its like two weeks I'm experiencing a big problem in a production infrastructure.

Sometimes, like 8-9 times a day, every SSID disappear and the clients start losing connection, then after 20-30 seconds they appear again and everyone start reconnecting.

It seems like that radio signal (both 2.4 and 5 GHz) "restarts" but I cant understand why.

Can someone help me finding the problem and fixing it?

The firmware version is 8.5.120.0, but I cant upgrade it because the activities are 24/7.

Thank you in advance for your suggestions.

Antonio

I've used 8.5.120.0 and I can confidently say that that version is not stable and reliable.

 - Enable syslogging on your WLC following the link below ; use level informational or debugging if still more info is needed to track the problem (followup on syslog messages from the WLC on the syslog-server) :

I have no syslog servers. Which kind do you suggest me? It will be used just for this purpose.

I can see a lot of "message log". I'm pasting just the first page, it may be useful.

Last thing I found on the net is disabling fast transition, into wlans configuration.

I can test it, but does it affect the roaming functionality?
