AP config 1041n - N standard throughput?

Hello All,

This may be just my miss-interpretation but when I configure an Autonomous 1041n AP I'm not getting the N throughput or seeing the multiple MIMO freq channels being broadcast.  I get a typical 54Mg freq signature based around a channel ie... 1.   I've set to WPA2 AES and enabled  MCS.

Am I missing something? Does anyone have a sample config that gets the N throughput?

My config is below.

ap#sh run

AP config 1041n - N standard throughput?

You will not see 300mbps due to the face that you will not be able to channel bond/40mhz channel on the 2.4ghz.  you will be able to get up to 144mbps on the 2.4ghz , but you will only see the one channel the radio is set to.  You are almost there..... Party of the 802.1x standard is also to allow WMM.  So configure WMM and you should see up to 144mbps as long as you client is also 802.11N compliant.

Re: AP config 1041n - N standard throughput?

piggy backing Scott. The 1040 series won't reach 144 Mbps as it it is only a 2x2 MIMO and you need a 2x3(1142,1262,3502,3602) to achieve the MCS rates

AP config 1041n - N standard throughput?

Thanks Scott and Stephen,

From the console it appears as though the WMM is enabeld by default.  I checked the GUI under the Qos advanced tab and it's ticked as enabled.

I'll do a throughput check.
