Hi,
I'm relevantly new to Cisco products. So, please pardon my basic questions.
I have Cisco Aironet 700 series AP(AIR-SAP702I-Q-K9). I dont have controller. I need to configure this as standalone access point.
I tried all the basic steps and tried activating on both the radios but no luck. Can someone please guide me on how to configure this as AP.
I'm using web access to configure the AP.
Please help
Thanks,
Sagar

Hi Sandeep,
Here is the Topology
ISP->Router-> and from router 1 cable goes to Cisco 2960 switch and 1 cable goes to Cisco Access point

Hi Sandeep,
Sorry for delay in response as I was away for couple of days.
So, after removing DHCP pool from AP users are able to connect and use the wifi but some of the users are still unable to connect saying "Unable to connect to the network"
I also seen that only 2.4GHz band is active and not 5GHz. Will that be the problem?
Can you please help me in re-configuring the same
Appreciate all your help !!
Thanks,
Sagar

Maybe you should change the encryption from WPA/TKIP to WPA2/AES.
dot11 ssid Adknowledgeasia
authentication key-management wpa version 2
interface Dot11Radio0
encryption vlan 1 mode ciphers aes-ccm
Let us know if that helps.

Can you remove the profile from the MacBooks and try again? Windows works fine, but how about iPhones and or any other Apple devices?

Hi Scott,
It did worked after removing the profiles from macbooks. It's working fine now on everything.
Many thanks for your help. I think the encryption change the removing profile worked out.
Just curious to know, why this could have happened ?
Again thanks for all your help.
Cheers

Many times a profile could of been created wrong. Windows and Apple have different ways a profile is created. For example, Windows 7 and earlier versions allowed you to use a mix of WPA/WPA2/TKIP/AES and Apple uses either WPA/TKIP or WPA2/AES. So what can happen is that maybe you had connected with a different encryption and the device stuck with that but in the end, was the wrong encryption to use.
Best way to troubleshoot is to always delete a profile and create a new one. This is the same for smartphones and tablets alike.
Glad that worked out for you!
