I have an AP in VLAN 6(t/w clinets) and VLAN 5 (t/w controller)..AP is joined to the controller, and all interfaces for VLAN6 created....but still can't see the SSID?

Problem was with vWLC you should use FlexConnect mode....with FlexConnect SSID is broadcasted, but never with Local AP mode...

@Zain Khan my AP is joined with the controller....

Hi there,

Look under: WLANs -> WLANs -> <wlan_id>

Under the 'General' tab for your WLAN is the 'broadcast SSID' checkbox ticked?

cheers,

Seb.

@seb

Yes it is checked.

Just to confirm, is the AP in the AP Group 'default-group'?

WLANs -> AP Groups -> 'default-group' -> 'APs' tab

If it is in another AP Group, does that group list your SSID under its 'WLANs' tab?

yes AP is listed in default-group...

Can anyone please guide me through this process?

This is another show command on the Ap showing all Radio interfaces unset:

AP001b.d5f1.9900#sh ip int br
Interface IP-Address OK? Method Status Protocol
BVI1 10.10.6.1 YES DHCP up up
Dot11Radio0 unassigned NO unset up up
Dot11Radio1 unassigned NO unset administratively down down
FastEthernet0 unassigned NO unset up up

Hi,

Broadcast the SSID in the AP group from AP group in WLANs tab

I have done these steps....am using the default-group for AP's...is it possible that due to using the command to ignore certificate on vWLC, AP gets joined but do not work?
