Cisco wave-1 outdoor APs are not compatible for Software Defined-Access Wireless solution?

Hello Experts,

Have been going through the "Cisco SD-Access Ordering Guide". Herein could not see the listing of 1570 series and IW3700 series APs. Do we need to consider only wave 2 APs for SD-Access Wireless Solution?

Also there's a specific limitation listed out for usage of Wave-1 APs for SD-Access wireless, any technological reason behind the limitations listed against wave 1 APs?

I think it is to do with resource differences between wave 1 & wave 2 APs.

Also a encouragement for customers to buy latest AP models instead of keep using old models.

2700/3700 will not be able to support SDA. Cisco wants to accelerate the switch from legacy IOS to the new IOS-XE which newer APs (2800/3800/4800) are made of.

Thanks Leo and Rasika.

The latest APs 1800/2800/3800/4800 run IOS-XE or COS? Also I could not get any proper information on who COS is different from IOS. Could someone please shed more light on same?
