hello,

i'm using a WLC 2504 with 10AP, i'm working in a building with 3 floors, and i've got only a issue with the third floor where there is 2 AP, one in the marketing side, one in the dev side.

The one that causing me trouble is in the marketing side, the ap disconnect randomly and then reconnect, and client are disconnected from the SSID randomly even if the ap is connected.

Log exemple:

What is the uptime of this AP that keeps on randomly disconnecting?

How to get ap uptime

show ap uptime

Check the switch the AP is attached to. Do you see the port going down/up when this happens? This would indicate the AP is crashing and rebooting.
What software release are you running on the WLC and what type of AP?

Which is the MAC address of the affected AP (wireless interface and wired interface)?

Hi,

The base radio mac of the ap is: 70:ea:1a:e4:c1:20
The type is AIR-AP1815W-E-K9

Software version: 8.5.131.0

I don't know about the down/up, because i don't have the time to stay near the switch when it's happening. The uptime can be 10min, 7 hours, etc, it's realy random.

what i tried so far:

- Change Switch and port
- swap with a ap that don't have a problem

The uptime does vary, that is a sign that it reboots. I would suspect a cable issue, or not enough PoE from the switch, if a second AP has the same issue at that exact location.

8.5.131.0?
Do the APs have dual-band radios? If they do, what happens if you disable the dual-band radios. Does this stop the APs from rebooting?
