I have a autonomous AP (stand alone) configured for an SSID that uses WPA-TKIP. I can connect to that SSID using "g", "a" etc but I cannot connect using the "b" radio.
I already checked all the data rates and power settings and I cannot figure out the problem.
Is there something obvious that I could be missing?
Any help would be appreciated.

can you post the configuration of the AP?
can you connect with the 'b' client if you have no encryptins enabled?

Hi Meena,
Take a peek and just double check that atleast 1,2 5.5 or 11 is mandatory. This is normally a culprit when doing b devices. Also, check your client, are you restricting b rates in anyway on the client side, like "g only" ..?
p.s. Pick a day and we can do a visit at WHH. Im pretty open ...

I am in a meeting and I took a quick peek... 1 is not enabled. Have you tried to enable 1 PHY rate ? Also what is your client btw ?

I added 1.0 now.
speed basic-1.0 2.0 5.5 6.0 9.0 11.0 12.0 18.0 24.0 36.0 48.0 54.0
Still no use. If I do "show controllers" what should I see? I am seeing
interface Dot11Radio0
Radio AIR-AP1131G, Base Address 0013.5f54.ad30, BBlock version 0.00, Software version 5.90.8
interface Dot11Radio1
Radio AIR-AP1131A, Base Address 0013.5f58.ad10, BBlock version 0.00, Software version 5.90.8
Should I see B also?

No, 802.11b is G radio..
You mentioned, you can connect at G and A speeds, is that right ?
What client are you trying to connect to the access point?
