Hi everybody,

today we received the AP's to replace our olds Cisco AP's and WLC, in theory, one of them could be the new WLC.

I configured the AP's according this guide:

https://www.cisco.com/c/dam/en/us/solutions/collateral/enterprise-networks/mobility-express/guide-c07-741338.pdf

I perform all of this easy steps but when the AP is rebooted, the SSID i configure which i have to connect to continue performing configuration not appear... I tried a lot of times without any results.

What is going wrong?

Kind regards.

first: after the configuration and reboot of the AP, it may take several minutes before the system is up-and-running

-> be patient

did you read all info on the first pages?

The Mobility Express access point will get an IP address from the DHCP server. • This is the IP address of the access point and NOT the virtual wireless LAN controller. • You will have to manually configure the IP address of the virtual wireless LAN controller during setup. • Also, both the access point and virtual wireless LAN controller MUST be on the same network

if you do not connect wireless, but wired,

can you see if any DHCP adresses are issued on your local dhcp-server/router/modem?

can you access the controllers IP?

(sometimes you need to explicitly enable management over wireless)
