Hi.

We are installing a bunch of 1140s & 1250s indoor access point powered via Cisco 3750 PoE switches.

Is it necessary or required to provide grounding (earth) for the indoor APs?

Appreciate if you can refer me to some documentation. Thanks in advance

No... grounding is only required on outdoor equipment, access points and or antennas.

Thanks,

Scott

Hello Tapang,

As per your query i can suggest you the following solution-

No the grounding is not required for 1140 and 1250 indoor access point via Cisco 3750 PoE switches. It is not at all required for indoor AP's but outdoor AP's.
