H-REAP Timers

How long does an access point in H-ERAP mode go before it considers the WLC unreachable?

That is, how long is the "hello" timer and "max age" timer?

Hi, it's not related to H-REAP. The heartbeat will detect a WLC failure after max 35 seconds.

I.e. by default a heartbeat is sent every 30 seconds. When one is missed 3 are sent with 1 sec difference. If still no reply, WLC is considered down.

You also have the fast heartbeat option on WLC, which is one heartbeat per second but that's maybe aggressive for H-REAP.

Nicolas,

Thanks for the reply. Do you have links to documentation detailing this heartbeat info?

Ben.

It's actually configurable now that I look into it :
