Hello,

I need to replace one Cisco Wireless access point. I had one Cisco AP AIR-AP1252G-A-K9 is dead now. Right now I am checking to see if I can install Cisco AIR-CAP2602E-A-K9 Access Point. I need to have bridge option available for the new access point. How can I confirm if one access point supports bridging ?

Hi

It does support bridge. You can go on the AP config on the WLC and in "AP Mode" you can verify the bridge option.

Thank You but how to know it before deploying the AP into Network.

Take a look at the IOS Autonomous release notes and or configuration guide. That will state what is supported. Only Autonomous AP’s suppoet P2P bridging and or repeater. Lightweight supports bridge for mesh.

Take a a look at the WLC matrix for AP and supported code then reference the code release notes and or configuration guide.
