Is it possible to shape the traffic of a Guest SSID?

Hello, we have and Cisco WLC 2504 with several SSID for our network (802.11X authentication). We have also an Guest SSID with PSK.

My question is it possible to shape the traffic of that guest ssid, so the guest will not be able to use more than for example 5Mbit/s ?

Or if it is not is there any other way to restrict the traffic of the guests?

Not in the WLC. The 2504 does not support per user bandwidth contracts.

You could do something at L3 to rate limit there.

What is the bast place to do that? On the firewall ?

Best place to shape is closest to the source. If your FW is the gateway, then that would be the best place to shape. Reall depends on where you can shape and your comfort level to implement shaping.

You can try using the QoS role to limit the bandwidth of guest clients:
