Is the SNR reported by an autonomous 1242AP coming from the client?

I have an autonomous Cisco 1242AP that under the "Associations" view the MAC address of all associated clients are listed.

If I click on one of these MAC addresses it will open the "Station View Client" view which show me a SNR value.

Is this SNR value coming from the client or is the AP calculating this value?

The information is from the AP not from the client.
