Mesh and AP1200 connected with WLC 5508 through WAN link issue

Hi all,

     I hope you are well, I'm try to manage one network mesh and two ap1200 through a wan link, because the wlc is in the central office and the network mesh and ap1200 belong to remote office, and this offices is connected with private wan link. My issue is that the ap1200 for example don't register in WLC, the ap have ip address provided by dhcp server and from wlc I can do ping to ap. This topology type is possible.?

Thanks.

What version is your WLC running on? For a 1220 WAP, your controller should be running a MAXIMUM of 7.0.X.

Can you post the output to the following commands:

1.  WLC:  sh sysinfo;

2.  WAP:  sh version;

3.  WAP:  sh inventory

Just to add to Leo's post.... here is the compatibility matrix:

Thanks,

Scott

Hi, thanks for your reply. The WLC has 7.0.220.0 version. Right now I don't have the show's that you ask me. But I watched the cisco wireless solution software compatibility matrix and I will have do downgrade of WLC to 7.0.116.0.

Hi all, I resolved this issue applying OTAp feature. I used this link:

I don't need do downgrade or upgrade of IOS.

Thanks.
