Mesh AP: Alternate Parents

Hi all,

i have outdoor lightweight AP 1552 (root and Mesh).

By default all the AP have the following 802.11a/n configuration...

RF Backhaul Channel Assignment : Current Channel: 165 , Channel Width: 20 MHz

Tx Power Level Assignment: Custom 1

If i made the WCS Alternat Parent report i see up to 156 Number of Alternate Parents for a single AP ?!?!?!

This is really strange..

It is a Cisco BUG or i have to change the 802.11a/n setting???

Well from the WLC events, do you see the parent change also? Did you setup a bridge group name, you should especially if there might be other MESH in the area. You can also look at the at join time and see if the map has lost connection which means your mesh network might be unstable. Set your bridge group if you haven't. Make sure you set it up on your map first then the rap.
